Quality Investments For You: Before and After the Wedding
When preparing for life as a newlywed couple, it's essential to prioritise investing in high-quality items before and after your wedding. While some couples may be hesitant to create a gift registry, fearing it could burden guests who have already incurred expenses for travel and accommodation, I believe that your wishlist should reflect your genuine desires. Speaking from my own perspective, as someone with a passion for interior design, I tend to lean towards premium pieces that bring character to a living space - your accent furniture , suspension light or sofa.
Can You Identify Your Design Style?
Attending one of Porto's most prestigious immersive interior design events was a perfect fit for us. Home Society graciously invited Mrs. Wedding Planner Limited to their exclusive behind-the-scenes event at the showroom and warehouses in Porto. I was so captivated by the charm of Porto that I decided to extend my stay by four days, delving into business and destination wedding prospects. Now back to the immersive experience…
Their diverse luxury design brands (Brabbu, Maison Valentina, Rug Society) spans all design styles, ranging from contemporary to eclectic, mid-century, and modern, ensuring there is something to suit everyone across all brands. Here are the key highlights from the experience.
The most fulfilling part was delving deep into the behind-the-scenes production process to grasp the genuine worth of each piece. With approximately three specialised warehouses – for woodwork, metalwork, and lighting – each housed skilled artisans crafting unique hand-made pieces. Additionally, there were meticulously separated lab-like areas dedicated to quality control. The blend of traditional and modern methods, paying homage to local arts and culture, was the common theme across all warehouses.
What stood out the most for me was the work culture. The blend of young, vibrant team members alongside experienced heads in both the head office and warehouses was truly special. It was inspiring to meet CEOs and COOs who were easy to relate to, as well as the creative minds behind remarkable products – like the graphic designer Hugo, known for his expertise in fine art, and the knowledgeable Carolina.
In my journey within luxury event production, discovering authentic pieces that can captivate the wider wedding industry, along with exploring wedding stationery, design and favour concepts for upscale events, has left me feeling knowledgeable and empowered. Furthermore, the increasing interest in my residential interior design services has been a truly rewarding experience.Coming soon…
