The recent New York Bridal Fashion Week was, in a word, magical. Designers outdid themselves with collections that didn't just present beautiful gowns but told stories, evoking a sense of nostalgia while nodding to modern romance. It was a love letter to timeless elegance, with artful silhouettes and intricate detailing that honour the grace of bygone eras. Bustiers, corseted waists, pearl embellishments, and structured A-lines are bringing a new dimension to bridal fashion, one that embraces history while speaking directly to today’s bride. Sculpted bodices, intricate corsetry, and lavishly embellished skirts that seem to have walked straight out of a painting. Designers leaned into delicate draping and feminine silhouettes, pairing them with contemporary detailing to offer brides gowns that are both classically romantic and strikingly current. Let’s explore the top names defining this season’s luxurious bridal looks.

Of all the stunning showcases, Vivienne Westwood, Monique Hullier , Ellie Saab and Milla Nova’s collections——truly captured the essence of the season's trends. This year, bridal fashion isn’t just about “something old”; it’s about bringing that old-world charm into today’s bridal scene with opulent, meticulously crafted designs inspired by Regency-era aesthetics and classical art.

The magic of this season lies in how each gown feels like a portrait of the bride herself—elegant, bold, and one-of-a-kind. It’s a time for brides to embrace silhouettes that sculpt, materials that drape and embellishments that shimmer just enough. Whether you’re captivated by the old-world charm, the modern refinement of bustiers, or the fairy tale allure of cinched waists, this year’s bridal collections are here to make every bride feel like she’s the main character in a timeless love story. And isn’t that what bridal fashion should be all about?

Monique Lhuillier

Monique Lhuillier’s 2025 collection captures the essence of old-money elegance, blending understated luxury with timeless sophistication. Each gown evokes the quiet opulence of classic estates, with soft, flowing silks, delicate Chantilly lace, and restrained yet intricate beadwork. The collection highlights refined silhouettes, from tailored A-lines to softly draped ball gowns, each enhanced by Monique’s signature eye for detail and craftsmanship.

Sculpted Bustiers and Refined Femininity

New York-based designer Alexandra Grecco has always had a way of taking “minimalist” and making it feel utterly luxurious. This season, her collection emphasizes refined femininity through sculpted bustiers that celebrate the body’s natural lines. Grecco’s signature U and V-shaped necklines gently contour the bust and waist, creating a statuesque silhouette that feels as timeless as it is fresh. Her designs are effortlessly sophisticated—perfect for brides seeking a look that feels both grounded and undeniably romantic.

Cinched Waists for Modern Romance

When it comes to Galia Lahav, opulence and allure are always front and centre, and this season is no exception. Lahav’s collection dazzled with gowns that frame the waist with beautifully embellished corsetry, adding a touch of drama and classic grace. One standout piece—a luxurious mikado A-line gown—features a flowing skirt and a corseted bodice with delicate pearl accents. It’s the kind of gown that makes a statement without overshadowing the bride; a perfect harmony of glamour and refined sensuality, created for brides with an eye for exquisite detail. Sparkle: AMINATA !!!!

Ah, Milla Nova! With the Villa Bream collection, this brand has outdone itself, bringing a touch of dreamy European elegance to the aisle. Inspired by coastal Italian villas and the romance of Mediterranean summers, the Villa Bream collection is pure magic. Every gown in this collection feels like a love letter to luxury, combining structured boning, heart-shaped necklines, and intricate lacework with that special Milla Nova sparkle.

Take Aminata, a gown that radiates glamour with its mermaid silhouette and delicate sequin detailing. Personally love this as one of my favourite brides is called Aminata. For brides looking for something sleek yet striking, Villa Bream also offers a satin A-line gown with a draped neckline, a buttoned back, and a perfectly cinched waist. It’s a style that embraces simplicity and grandeur in one breath, balancing tradition with a relaxed, Mediterranean-inspired grace. This collection is for brides who dream of looking like they’ve just stepped off a cliffside villa in Italy, ready to say "I do" under a golden sky.

The Short and Sweet Statement for the Modern Bride

For the bride with a bit of flair (and perhaps a second look up her sleeve), the “June” mini dress offers something refreshingly unexpected. Crafted from mikado fabric and adorned with 3D floral appliqués, this mini features a structured, bell-shaped skirt and statement organza sleeves—whimsical, playful, and a little bit daring. Ideal for an intimate ceremony, chic city elopement, or a party-ready reception look, the June mini is a perfect blend of fun and sophistication, proving that bridal fashion doesn’t have to be all tradition to make an impact.
